New Delhi, 21 June: Hindu College, University of Delhi, celebrated the 11th edition of the International Day of Yoga with great enthusiasm under the aegis of IQAC. The event, Yoga Sangam, was organised on the verdant lawns of the college and witnessed the active participation of more than 100 yoga enthusiasts, including faculty members, non-teaching staff, students, and frontline workers.

The programme began early in the morning with a warm welcome and the collective singing of the Yoga Geet, introduced by the Ministry of AYUSH, followed by the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) session, during which participants performed asanas and breathing exercises in perfect synchrony. The event was led by trained and certified yoga instructors and was wholeheartedly supported by the college’s NSS volunteers.

On the occasion, Principal Prof. Anju Srivastava said, “It is heartening to see Hindu College come together for this inspiring session of the Common Yoga Protocol, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi led from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.” She further remarked that yoga is not just a practice but a way of life. “Our collective participation today echoes the theme of this year – Yoga for One Earth, One Health – which highlights India’s timeless message of holistic well-being and environmental harmony.”
