NEW DELHI: In a momentous celebration of its rich history and unwavering commitment to academic excellence and unparalleled contributions to nation-building, Hindu College unveiled a commemorative postage stamp to mark its Quasquicentennial celebrations.
The first-day cover and the commemorative postage stamp, titled ‘125 Years of Hindu College,’ were unveiled by the Chief Guest, Devusinh Chauhan, Minister of State, Ministry of Communications, Government of India, Guest of Honour, Prof. Yogesh Singh, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Delhi and Dr. Vikas Gupta, Registrar, University of Delhi, Prof Anju Srivastava, Principal Hindu College and TCA Rangachari, Chairman of Hindu College Governing Body.
The Minister of State, Devusinh Chauhan congratulated the college administration and the alumni for their continuous commitment to building this institution for eminence through their enormous contributions, spreading quality knowledge and innovative ideas. The release of the stamp marks not only a celebration of the past but also a commitment to a future of continued academic distinction and holistic development, he further stated.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Yogesh Singh congratulated the college on this historic occasion and stated that the next 25 years are essential for the country’s growth, with the potential of young minds like Hindu College students.
