Mumbai: Actress Nyra M. Banerjee is currently in the spotlight for her series ‘Dil Padosi’, in which she portrays the character of Diya. Nyra shares that what she finds most striking about Diya is that she embraces her own identity without any hesitation and makes her own decisions. Since she shares a similar mindset in her personal life, Nyra felt an immediate connection to the character.
Speaking about Diya, Nyra says, “To be honest, I was drawn to Diya because I am much like her. She possesses ambition and self-confidence, and she has a clear sense of who she is. I truly enjoyed playing this role. I have always believed that the most compelling characters are those that cannot be easily pigeonholed into a single category—and Diya is one of them.”
Nyra adds, “Another remarkable trait of Diya is that she doesn’t just wait for things to happen; she takes the initiative to bring about change. That is exactly what I love about her. Diya is full of surprises, and I am excited to see how the audience responds to my portrayal of her.”
