New Delhi, May 12. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced the resumption of the remaining matches of Tata IPL 2025. Under the new schedule, the remaining matches will be played from May 17.
Let us tell you that due to the blackout due to tension between India and Pakistan, the match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dharamsala on May 8 had to be stopped midway. The remaining matches were also postponed, after which the new schedule was awaited.
According to the new schedule, the remaining 13 matches of the league stage will be held from May 17 to 27 in six different stadiums of the country. In this, the incomplete match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals will be played in Jaipur on May 24. Meanwhile, there will be double headers (two matches in a day) on both the coming Sundays.
The stadiums have not been decided for the further matches. The first qualifier will be played on May 29 and the eliminator on May 30. The second qualifier will be played on June 1. After this, the final of IPL 2025 will be held on June 3.
The BCCI said that the information about the venues of the playoff and final matches will be released soon.
While giving information about the IPL matches, the BCCI has paid tribute to the bravery and perseverance of the Indian Armed Forces, whose efforts have made the safe return of cricket possible. The board has reiterated its resolve to successfully conclude the IPL, keeping the national interest paramount.
It is worth noting that on May 8, the IPL match being played between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings in Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh was canceled. It was told that the lights of the stadium had gone off due to the power supply being affected, after which the match was canceled. By that time, playing first, Punjab’s score was 122/1 in 10.1 overs.
