This victory was big in the sense that he defeated Mahabal Mishra of Congress by a margin of 5.78 lakh votes.
In the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections, BJP made Pravesh Verma a candidate from New Delhi seat. He was pitted against leaders like Arvind Kejriwal of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Sandeep Dixit of Congress. An easy victory was being claimed for Arvind Kejriwal from New Delhi Assembly seat. But, Pravesh Verma shattered all the claims, not only defeated Arvind Kejriwal but also gave a big blow to Aam Aadmi Party. Arvind Kejriwal, the biggest face and leader of Aam Aadmi Party, had to face defeat from here.
