Mumbai: Actress Juhi Chawla took to social media to share warm birthday wishes for Tabu, while marveling at how she continues to get better at everything with the passage of time.
Sharing a lovely photo of herself embracing Tabu, Juhi wrote on the micro-blogging platform, “Happy Birthday, Tabu!! Some people grow old, some people evolve… and then there’s you—quietly getting better at everything, all while refusing to tell us how! Sending lots of love!”
For those unaware, Juhi and Tabu worked together in the 2001 comedy film ‘Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya’.
In addition to the two, the film’s ensemble cast included Govinda, Chandrachur Singh, Johnny Lever, Isha Koppikar, Vinay Anand, and Ketki Dave.
Directed by K. Raghavendra Rao, the film was a remake of the Tamil movie ‘Viralukketha Veekkam’, directed by V. Sekhar.
To mark Tabu’s 55th birthday, the makers of her upcoming film ‘King 100’ unveiled a first-look poster featuring her.
Her co-star, Nagarjuna Akkineni, also shared a special birthday message on his official social media handle: “A very happy birthday to the dear Tabu! The world will never forget ‘Pandu’ (from *Ninne Pelladatha*)… and now, you are set to etch yourself into our memories forever as the ‘Mahanati Jhansi Rani.’ You have made this film truly special. Sharing a glimpse to celebrate you and this new energy. This time, it’s not about love…” In the first-look poster, Tabu is seen in a powerful, commanding persona—reminiscent of the legendary Rani of Jhansi. Dressed in a red sari paired with a white blouse, she poses with both dignity and authority. The poster features the tagline, “This time, it’s not love… it’s war,” hinting at a distinct dynamic between Nagarjuna and Tabu in ‘King 100’.
Directed by R.A. Karthik, the film marks the reunion of Tabu and Nagarjuna after a long hiatus of nearly three decades.
