New Delhi, Jan 28 Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party and its national convenor, Arvind Kejriwal, while addressing an election rally in Delhi’s Patparganj assembly constituency.
Lok Sabha leader of opposition Rahul Gandhi while addressing the rally said that Kejriwal had said that he would do “new kind of politics”, but when the poor needed him, he was nowhere to be seen. When violence broke out in Delhi, he was nowhere to be seen. He had said that he would do corruption-free politics, but he committed the biggest liquor scam. Kejriwal, who talks about the rights of the common man, lives in a ‘Sheesh Mahal’. The people of Delhi have come to know his truth and are going to teach him a lesson in the assembly elections. The Congress leader said that before the Patparganj assembly, Manish Sisodia was the AAP candidate, who was the architect of the liquor scam. He fled from Patparganj “in fear”.
Rahul Gandhi appealed to the people to make Congress candidate Anil Chaudhary win from Patparganj. Accusing the media of ignoring the real problems of the common people, he said the media does not talk about pollution, inflation or infrastructure.
He said the BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) pit brothers against each other, spreading hatred and division. We want to open a “dukaan of love in this market of hatred”. We do not want an India full of fear and hatred, we want a country full of love. They want to pit Hindus against Muslims and one caste against another. This is not the India we want.
Rahul Gandhi alleged that the BJP was turning India into a country of a few people. “Where is it written in the Constitution that ports, airports and resources should be handed over to industrialists? They (BJP) are handing over the wealth of this country to a few industrialists,” he said.
