Making Chandni Chowk a heritage hub will be my first priority – Jai Prakash Aggarwal

New Delhi: Chandni Chowk parliamentary constituency is not only an electoral Lok Sabha constituency, it is also a historical heritage in which the history of Delhi and the country resides. There are many monuments in Chandni Chowk which tell about our country and its history. After winning the elections, my priority will be to make Chandni Chowk a heritage hub.

Senior leader Shri Jaiprakash Aggarwal, the joint candidate of Congress and Aam Aadmi Party alliance from Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha parliamentary constituency, said this while releasing his “Vision Manifesto” for Chandni Chowk constituency in a press conference on Sunday. Senior leader Chatar Singh, Municipal Corporation House leader Jitendra Kumar Kochhar, and prominent business leader Pradeep Gupta were mainly present.

Shri Jaiprakash Aggarwal said that the history of Delhi and the country resides in Chandni Chowk, it is not only an electoral constituency but also a heritage. With time this area expanded and the problems here also increased but these were not solved. From the point of view of tourism, Chandni Chowk is considered to be the main area of Delhi, lakhs of tourists from India and abroad come here every year and see the historical monuments of India. His top priority will be to make Chandni Chowk a heritage hub so that Chandni Chowk area can get world class recognition and at the same time it will promote tourism.

Shri Jaiprakash Aggarwal said that every year a “Global Food Festival” will be organized in Chandni Chowk, so that tourists coming from India and abroad will be able to enjoy the world famous food of Chandni Chowk. Apart from this, this festival will also give a boost to the industry and business of Chandni Chowk. Shri Aggarwal said that apart from this, about 100 years old Roshanara Club which is closed for the last six months and about 500 families working in it are on the verge of starvation due to unemployment. But after being elected as MP, opening Roshanara Club and providing employment to people is also his priority.

*By developing the ghats and river front of Yamuna adjacent to Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha constituency, a beautiful tourist destination will be created for tourists and local residents.

*Streamlining traffic management in Chandni Chowk, developing old market and multilevel parking.

*Developing the unused land of DDA in public interest.

*Getting development work done in the area by releasing funds from MPLAD to registered RWAs.

*Development of all the industrial areas falling in Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha constituency, in which construction of roads, drainage system of dirty water, parking places etc. are important. *Under the In-Situ scheme, providing permanent houses to every slum dweller with the promise of a house where there is a slum.

*To remove confusion among the business class regarding the terms and conditions of GST, make changes in the GST rules and make them simpler.

*Changes will also be made in MSME scheme.

*A comprehensive plan will be brought to make Delhi pollution free.

*A superspeciality hospital will be built on the vacant land near the police station in Keshavpuram area in which state-of-the-art health facilities will be provided to the people.

*Houses up to 100 yards will be exempted from house tax.

*Mono rail or other similar transport system will be introduced in Chandni Chowk parliamentary constituency so that the traffic problem can be solved.

*An employment fair will be organized to provide better employment opportunities to the youth of Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha constituency.

*To relieve people from the problem of traffic jam on Rohtak Road from Central Delhi to North-West Delhi, an elevated road will be built from Idgah to Zakhira.

*To make Manjanu Ka Tila jam free, over bridges will be built there.

*Pedestrian over bridge will be built from Adarsh Nagar metro station to Adarsh Nagar railway station.

* New schools will be opened for children in Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha constituency.
