Nadda launches ‘Lokho Sonar Bangla’ campaign in Bengal

Kolkata | Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president JP Nadda on Thursday launched the party’s Lokho Sonar Bangla campaign to oust the Mamata Banerjee-led West Bengal Trinamool Congress government in West Bengal. Under the ‘Lokho Sonar Bangla’ scheme, the BJP will invite suggestions through boxes from March 3 to 20, which will be made available in 294 assembly constituencies across Bengal.

“We have started the ‘Lokho Sonar Bangla’ manifesto campaign in Kolkata,” said Nadda.

The BJP national president arrived in the state on Wednesday night. He had lunch at Hukumchand Jute Mill worker Debnath Yadav on Thursday.

Sources said that Nadda enjoyed lunch on lotus leaves. BJP Bengal unit chief Dilip Ghosh, the party’s Lok Sabha MP from Barrackpore Arjun Singh and several other senior leaders of the party were present with Nadda during lunch.
