NDMC organises a webinar on How to make smart videos for online learning and teaching

New Delhi: With the aim to emphasize on developing good quality online learning contents to engage students progressively and constructively, New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) in association of ‘Vigyan Prasar’ – an undertaking of Department of Science and Technology, Government of India organised an interactive webinar. The webinar was based on the theme of –“How to make smart videos for online learning” – for the teaching fraternity of NDMC and Navyug schools.

On the occasion, Shri D.P Singh- Director (Education), NDMC said that educational institutions have been greatly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and as a consequence, schools have been shut since last year and the mode of learning has been shifted from classroom teaching to online learning.

He further informed that despite the odds of this pandemic situation, NDMC’s Education Department is constantly striving to take care of the academic future of its school  students. For this purpose, NDMC launched two “Atal Adarsh Shiksha” and “Navyug Pragati” two YouTube channels. These channels are an excellent example of blended learning that is teaching with technology in NDMC.

The eminent panelist from ‘Education with Science’ (EWS), Shri Saurav Sen (Senior Consultant), Ms Prachi Gupta (Content Manager), Mr Punit Kad ( Project Manager ), Mr Karanjit (School Relation Head) actively interacted  with teachers in the webinar.

Mrs Prachi Gupta explained the technical aspects of video recording in a very easy way while Mrs Simmi Sachdeva, HOS, Moti Bagh showed a wide range of technical gadgets which are used in recording smart educational videos.

Mrs Anjum Siddiqui, Joint Director-NDMC, also motivated the teachers and shared the proposed capacity building programs for the Teachers by the education department. She said that the webinar was an interactive and huge moral boost session to all the teachers of NDMC.

As many as 540 participants, teachers from the NDMC and Navyug schools along with Shri S.C.Meena, HOS Havlock Square, Gole Market, New Delhi  as Coordinator attended the webinar.
