Patna, February 16. After the death of 18 people in the stampede at New Delhi Railway Station on Saturday night, a round of statements is going on in Bihar. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav has strongly targeted the government. Raising questions about the system, he said that the poor are being killed due to negligence.
Tejashwi Yadav spoke to the media on Sunday. On the incident at New Delhi Railway Station, he said, “The system has completely failed. Deaths are happening from the station to the ghat and the government does not care about it.”
He said that the people of Bihar have been most affected in this accident and the government is only busy in PR. He demanded an impartial investigation of the incident and punishment to the culprits.
Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Yadav said that the whole country and Bihar want to know who is responsible for these deaths? Who is guilty? Thousands of people are being killed, the government is not concerned. Somebody has to take responsibility for the incident. People of Bihar have died, but the Bihar government is not concerned. No official is there to question them. After all, the responsibility of those who are responsible for this should be fixed. Accidents are happening again and again but these people have not learned a lesson from those accidents.
He said that train accidents are happening continuously. People are dying on the platform, but there is no one to see.
Regarding Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s Delhi visit, he said, “He is not going there to solve the problems of Bihar. Let him go, then he must be going to make some new deal. Earlier he used to pull the thaali and now he touches feet.”
When asked about Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha’s statement that ‘Lalu Yadav does politics on dead bodies’, the RJD leader said that he should tell whether people have died or not. Unless these people abuse Lalu Prasad Yadav, they will not remain on TV, will not appear in the newspaper. That is why, they continuously abuse Lalu Yadav.
