Srinagar | Three Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists, including a Pakistani national, have been killed in an ongoing encounter with security forces in the Chandgam area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
J&K Police quoted Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone Vijay Kumar as tweeting, “Three terrorists of terrorist organization Jaish including a Pakistani national were killed. Incriminating material, arms and ammunition including two M-4 carbines and one AK series rifle from the spot.” Ammo has been recovered. A big success for us.”
The encounter took place after a joint team of police and security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation based on specific information about the presence of terrorists.
As the security forces reached the spot where the terrorists were hiding, they came under fire, triggering an encounter.
