PM Modi condemned Moscow terrorist attack, assured to stand with Russia

New Delhi, . Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday condemned the terrorist attack on Moscow’s Crocus City Hall. PM Modi has expressed solidarity with the people of Russia. More than 60 people have been killed in this terrorist attack.

PM Narendra Modi wrote on his X account, “We strongly condemn the heinous terrorist attack in Moscow. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims. India stands in solidarity with the government and people of the Russian Federation in this hour of grief.

Armed gunmen opened indiscriminate fire on people at the Crocus City Hall near Moscow on Friday. At least 60 people were killed and more than 100 were injured in the attack. ISIS has reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack.

The mall falls in the Moscow region just outside the city limits. According to local time, the attack took place here around 8 pm. According to RT report, there was chaos after the attack.

The attackers targeted concertgoers and video from the scene showed bodies scattered around. They also reportedly threw hand grenades to set the building on fire.

The media quoted Russia’s Investigative Committee (ICR) as saying that the death toll was likely to increase.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said: “The Russian Foreign Ministry has been receiving calls from ordinary citizens around the world expressing their condolences after the terrible tragedy at the Crocus City Hall in Moscow. They strongly condemn this bloody terrorist attack. Have been.”
