New Delhi, Jan 23 (IANS) Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor and former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday levelled serious allegations against the Delhi Police. He claimed that the police allowed the opposition candidate’s supporters to enter his public meeting and then attacked his car.
Attacking Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Kejriwal said that all this is happening at the behest of Amit Shah. Along with this, he claimed that Amit Shah has made the Delhi Police the personal army of the BJP.
Arvind Kejriwal wrote on the social media platform X, “Today in Hari Nagar, the police allowed the opposition candidate’s people to enter my public meeting and then attacked my car. All this is happening on the orders of Amit Shah ji. Amit Shah ji has made the Delhi Police the personal army of the BJP.”
He further wrote, “Big questions are being raised on the Election Commission that the national president of a national party and its leaders are being continuously attacked and the Election Commission is unable to take any effective steps.”
Earlier on January 18, Aam Aadmi Party had accused BJP of attacking Arvind Kejriwal. Aam Aadmi Party had said that BJP is scared of losing the Delhi assembly elections, that is why it has got its goons to attack AAP’s national convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Aam Aadmi Party posted a video on its official handle on social media platform X and wrote, “BJP is scared of losing, it has got its goons to attack Arvind Kejriwal. BJP candidate Pravesh Verma’s goons attacked Arvind Kejriwal with bricks and stones while he was campaigning, trying to hurt him so that he cannot campaign. BJP people, Kejriwal is not going to be scared of your cowardly attack, the people of Delhi will give you a befitting reply.”
