Rahul Gandhi and other prominent opposition leaders extended their greetings on Shri Krishna Janmashtami

New Delhi, Aug 16  The festival of Shri Krishna Janmashtami is being celebrated with reverence and enthusiasm across the country. On this auspicious occasion, prominent opposition leaders extended their greetings to the countrymen and recalled the messages of Lord Krishna.

Congratulating the countrymen, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi wrote on the social media platform ‘X’, “Heartiest wishes and congratulations to all of you on Shri Krishna Janmashtami. May this festival bring new enthusiasm, joy and lots of happiness in your life.”

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also extended her greetings to the countrymen on Janmashtami and wrote, “I extend my heartiest wishes to all on Janmashtami.”

Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal wrote, “Heartiest wishes to all of you on Shri Krishna Janmashtami. May happiness, peace and prosperity always remain in your life with the blessings of Lord Krishna.”

RJD chief and former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav wrote on the occasion of Janmashtami, “Hearty congratulations and best wishes to all of you on the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami. May the holy festival of Shri Krishna Janmashtami bring new enthusiasm and energy in your life. It is my wish that every calamity is averted and Bihar moves forward on the path of development with new thinking and young leadership. The wonderful teachings of knowledge, karma and devotion given by Lord Krishna to the world through the Bhagavad Gita for a better life inspire us to do selfless work, oppose oppression, injustice and for the betterment of the poor, needy and helpless people.” RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav wrote, “Hearty congratulations to all of you on Shri Krishna Janmashtami. May God’s blessings always remain with you.” Former Youth Congress president Srinivas BV described Janmashtami as not just a festival but an inspiration and wrote, “Janmashtami is not just a festival but it reminds us that no matter how powerful injustice and unrighteousness are, in the end, Dharma and truth always win. In the current situation in the country, Lord Krishna’s message gives us courage, ‘Arise, fight and protect the truth.’

The Congress party wrote on its official social media platform ‘X’, “On behalf of the Congress family, heartiest wishes to all the countrymen on Shri Krishna Janmashtami.”

At the same time, the Samajwadi Party also extended its wishes and wrote, “Hearty congratulations and infinite best wishes to all the countrymen on Shri Krishna Janmashtami.”
