The king of sequels is back with ‘Son of Sardar 2’, and this time, he brings more love, comedy, and a lot of swag. ‘Son of Sardar 2’ is a complete family-entertainer from Ajay Devgn that delivers on every front with emotion, comedy, drama, and impeccable Punjabi swag.

Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, the film promises to be more than just a commercial Bollywood film. Based on family values, clean comedy, great scenes and a great story, the film is tailor-made for the whole family to enjoy together.

Ajay Devgn returns as ‘Jaswinder Jassi Singh Randhawa’, and he looks more dashing than ever. This time, Jassi travels to London with great hopes of reuniting with his wife Dimple (Neeru Bajwa). But his dreams are shattered when Dimple reveals that she is in love with someone else and wants a divorce from him. Homeless and broken-hearted in a foreign land, Jassi’s life takes a strange turn when he meets Rabia (Mrunal Thakur). She is also a Pakistani businesswoman and runs a wedding dance company. What starts out politely soon turns into a hilarious adventure.

Danish (Chunky Pandey), Rabia’s colleague, is dealing with his own family drama; His daughter Saba (Roshni Walia) falls in love with Gogi (Sahil Mehta), the son of the traditional and domineering Raja Sandhu (Ravi Kishan), who wants an Indian bride with strong cultural roots. Rabia and her entire crew are Pakistanis, and they have only one solution! Jassi has to pretend to be Saba’s Indian father—an ex-army man with cultured values—to win over the conservative Sandhu family, and that’s when the madness begins.

Ajay Devgn’s impeccable comic timing once again wins hearts. Whether he’s lying, saving himself in the chaos, or showing off his desi style, he steals every frame. His acting keeps the film moving and he brings warmth, humor, and energy that’s impossible to dislike. Mrunal Thakur brings charm and grace to her first major commercial film. She is confident, effortless and has a great chemistry with Devgn.

The biggest surprise comes in the form of Deepak Dobriyal, who plays Gul, a transgender character. He brings a tinge of comedy and love to the role and delivers a sensitive and funny performance that is classy and memorable without being risqué. Ravi Kishan, who has an unmatched Bihari charm, is superb in his Sardar style. His dialogues, expressions and comic timing make him a heart-winner every time he is on screen.

The supporting cast is perfect. Be it the dependable Sanjay Mishra or the flamboyant Neeru Bajwa, the energetic Chunky Pandey or the bold Kubra Sait, the lovely Vindu Dara Singh, the dashing Ashwini Kalsekar, the talented Roshni Walia and the late Mukul Dev, everyone has added charm to the film and has put in their best.

Director Vijay Kumar Arora deserves special praise for giving each character their due time and crafting a story that is both coherent and chaotic in the best way possible.

Visually, the film has seen a major improvement. The cinematography is rich, set in stunning landscapes of Scotland and London. The film also captures the essence of Punjab beautifully—its colours, spirit, and culture come alive in every frame.

The music is a major achievement. Songs like ‘Pehla Tu Duja Tu,’ ‘Nazar Battu,’ and ‘Nachdi’ are not only catchy but also carry the story forward. They are beautifully shot and full of emotions that linger long after the credits roll.

The dialogues are punchy and full of desi swag. There are many paisa vasool moments that will make you laugh out loud and clap for your favourite characters. It is not just a comedy, it is a film with a beating heart and that is its real strength and just when you think you have seen it all, the climax brings a big surprise, which Ajay Devgn had clearly saved for the end. It is the perfect way to end this emotional and comedy-filled rollercoaster, leaving fans with a smile and maybe even happy tears.

Produced by Devgn Films and Jio Studios, Son of Sardaar 2 is a Bollywood family entertainer that has everything it should be; it is fun, emotional, colourful and based on values.

With brilliant acting, memorable co-actors, catchy music and great scenes, it is a joyous ride from start to finish. Whether you are watching it with family or friends, it is a must-watch.
