New Delhi: The National Center for Seismology (NCS) has said that after an earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale in Nepal, strong tremors were felt in Delhi-NCR at 2:51 pm on Tuesday.
The epicenter of the earthquake was in Nepal and the depth was five kilometers, NCS said.
“Earthquake Magnitude: 6.2, 03-10-2023, 14:51:04, Latitude: 29.39 & Longitude: 81.23, Depth: 5 km, Location: Nepal,” NCS said in a post.
Strong tremors were felt for several seconds in Delhi and its surrounding areas.
Videos on social media showed people running out of their residential complexes and offices.
So far, there has been no news of loss of life or property from anywhere.
