SVKT won against Dützers! Jannis Springer was the Star-Performer

Minden City: The football club SVKT (SV Kutenhausen/Todtenhausen 07 eV) crushed their opponent team Dützers in the semi-final game by 3-1. The supporters in the Loher Arena, which was filled with about 500 spectators who cheered the clubs. Jannis Springer scored for his team SVKT with his head just at the beginning of the game in Minden city.

Because despite the threat of relegation, the outsider was equal in the final for a long time and was not impressed by the early lead: Jannis Springer scored with his head after a corner kick by Yannik Niermann. After that, the opponent team Dützer had the better chances until the halftime but failed again and again to the resilient goalkeeper Noel Gramatte. He saved against Maurice Hergott, Moreno Siedler and Fabian Bugdoll. And when he missed a cross once, Siedler put the follow-up shot over the goal.

Both teams gave each other head-to-head in the final and delivered many gripping “mano a mano”.

“We had enough chances,” said Dützen’s coach Patrick Zweck, who was nevertheless not dissatisfied: “What’s important is that we delivered a game at eye level.” This gives his team courage for the next “final”: on Sunday, the league derby at the Tuts Lahde/Quetzen is about class preservation. It was not enough for the district cup on Wednesday, mainly due to one central factor: The opponent was simply more accurate.

“It was certainly not an exhilarating game from us, but we scored the goals at the right moment and were damn efficient,” said SVKT coach Jens Meier. This was evident after the break, when Mohamed Kanté scored another quick goal almost out of nowhere: with a flash of inspiration, he lifted the ball to the bottom of the crossbar, from where it fell behind the line (48th minute). That impressed the Dützer then nevertheless, and in the next attack Hendrik Klein made everything clear when he put the score to 3:0 (57th minute).

SV Kutenhausen-Todtenhausen players exuberantly celebrated their title win after the trophy was handed over.

After a free-kick by Lennart Schürstedt, Alexander Möller scored the final goal from the thick of the action (83rd). It almost became exciting again shortly afterward, but Schürstedt only hit the post with the next free-kick (85th minute).

After that, SVKT brought their lead confidently to the finish and celebrated after a small storm on the pitch with their fans, who, unlike in the semifinal in Maaslingen.

“We really wanted to complete this great cup season,” said Jannis Springer later about the longed-for triumph, before it went to the next dance in front of the cabin. His coach Jens Meier immediately put it in perspective: “This is important for the overall construct. As a coach, I’ve never experienced cohesion like that in this club.”
