Teachers and staff should use students to raise awareness among families and society about energy conservation: CM Yogi

Gorakhpur, May 16 Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Gorakshapeethadhiswar Yogi Adityanath has called upon all institutions affiliated with the Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad to raise awareness about current global challenges, including the West Asia conflict.

CM Yogi urged teachers and staff of all institutions to heed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal for urgent fuel conservation and reduction in foreign exchange expenditure. This is a timely national responsibility. A comprehensive campaign should be launched to raise awareness among students, their families, and the entire society about energy conservation. If everyone puts the nation first, every challenge can be easily addressed. He also directed the creation of a platform similar to the government’s Karmayogi portal and a blueprint for updated training for teachers and staff of MPSP institutions.

On Saturday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was reviewing the activities and future action plans of all the institutions of the Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad (MPSP) in the meeting hall of the Gorakhnath Temple. During the review meeting, the heads of all the institutions shared their annual reports and future action plans through PowerPoint presentations.

On this occasion, the Gorakhpeethadhiswar appealed to the heads of all the MPSP institutions to make their respective institutions vehicles for contemporary change in the interest of society and the nation. He stated that this is extremely important given the current global situation. The ongoing tensions in West Asia are posing challenges related to fuel and foreign exchange for the country. Educational institutions must play their role in addressing this challenge. All staff should adopt fuel-saving measures. Encourage students to reduce their consumption of petroleum products and conserve electricity. When students become aware, it will have an impact on their families and homes.

The Chief Minister stated that teachers and staff at Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad institutions must constantly update themselves to meet current needs. To achieve this, a platform similar to the government’s Karmayogi portal could be created, where all personnel could be prepared to meet current needs. He added that adopting timely and contemporary technology in work practices makes work easier.

He emphasized that just as life is not merely a formality, neither is any institution. Every institution should have a clear mission. It is the responsibility of every institution head to work diligently and innovatively with their team. Instead of becoming a stickler for routine, every institution should collectively establish a strong identity for itself through healthy competition, discipline, punctuality, and innovation.

In the review meeting, CM Yogi placed special emphasis on an excellent campus culture for every MPSP institution. He stated that the Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad is not merely an institution that establishes schools, colleges, universities, or hospitals; rather, its mission is to contribute to the social development of society and the nation through education, health, and other services. The foundation of the Parishad was laid with this very spirit: to foster a sense of nationalism and to develop capable citizens for the benefit of the nation. Whether circumstances were favorable or unfavorable, the Parishad never deviated from this overall goal.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath called upon all Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad institutions to continuously expand the Indian knowledge tradition. The Indian knowledge tradition inspires us to feel proud of our heritage. By doing so, we will be able to connect current and future generations with India’s knowledge system and its heritage.

He stated that a disciplined campus culture has always been a priority in Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad institutions. The Parishad’s institutions have made exemplary efforts in this regard. It is the responsibility of all heads of institutions to regularly monitor the campuses to maintain a sense of discipline, cleanliness, greenery, and goodwill towards all.

CM Yogi said that to ensure punctuality and discipline in an institution, the head of the institution should first apply it to themselves. Once this happens, it will automatically apply to others. Instructing all head of institutions to regularly review the work related to the assignment of various responsibilities, he said that all concerned in-charges should conduct a daily tour of the entire campus to ensure the arrangements related to their responsibilities.

He said that teachers should enthusiastically accept any school-related responsibilities, such as cleanliness and discipline, and set an example. He advised teachers to have respect and reverence for the founders, saying this will help in the progress of the institution and themselves. The CM said that a positive environment in the school, with a clutter-free, clean, and beautiful campus, is essential. Parents of any student who visits the school should be impressed by the cleanliness, beauty, discipline, and positive atmosphere of the campus.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of exploring new techniques and technologies and adopting them in the best interests of the institution and students to adapt to changing times and remain at the forefront.
