Police said, “They are involved in collecting weapons dropped by drones and supplying them to Jaish-e-Mohammed’s active terrorists in the Kashmir Valley, planting a vehicle-based IED in Jammu before August 15 and important targets in other parts of the country.” were planning a reconnaissance.”
Sharing the details, police said that Jaish-e-Mohammed member Prichu Pulwama resident Muntazir Manzoor alias Saifullah was the first to be arrested in this chain and a pistol, a magazine, eight live rounds and two Chinese hand grenades were recovered from him. Huh. His truck, which was used to carry weapons in the Kashmir Valley, has also been seized.
After this, three more Jaish terrorists were arrested. One of the terrorists has been identified as Izhar Khan alias Sonu Khan, a resident of Mardan Mohalla Kandala Shamli (UP).
Police said, “He revealed that a Jaish commander in Pakistan named Munazir alias Shahid had asked him to collect weapons from near Amritsar, which was to be shot down by a drone. He was taken by Jaish for reconnaissance of the Panipat oil refinery. The work he did and also sent videos of it to Pakistan. After this, he was entrusted with the task of reconnaissance of Ayodhya Ram Janmabhoomi, but he was arrested before completing this work.
Police said that Zaif, Shopian residents Tauseef Ahmed Shah alias Shaukat and Adnan were tasked by Jaish commander Shahid and another Jaish terrorist in Pakistan named Abrar to take up a residence in Jammu, which he did. He was then asked to buy a second-hand motorcycle to detonate the IED in Jammu. The IED was supposed to be dropped by a drone for this purpose, but Tauseef was arrested before it could be completed.
According to the police, Jahangir Ahmed Bhat, a resident of Bandju Pulwama, has also been arrested in this case. He is a fruit trader from Kashmir, who was constantly in touch with Shahid of Jaish in Pakistan and introduced Izhar Khan to him. He was recruiting fighters for Jaish in the Kashmir Valley and the rest of the country.
Police said that further investigation is on to bust the remaining terror module.
