During the hearing, the High Court said that if the Delhi government is unable to manage the oxygen cylinder, please tell us. We will ask the central government to take it over. The High Court said that the government’s work is seen only on paper.
The court has issued contempt notices to the five oxygen suppliers who were not present in the court during the hearing on Tuesday. On the other hand, Delhi Chief Secretary Vijay Dev informed the court that he has requested all the suppliers to give details of the tankers supplying oxygen in Delhi. After this, the quota of oxygen will be allocated for three days.
The Chief Secretary said that the quota has not yet been issued, it will be issued through an order. Its information will be kept before the court. If there is a complaint to the hospitals, the provision will be made to resolve it.
Senior advocate Rahul Mehra, appearing for the Delhi government, told the court that he would speak with the authorities and that oxygen supply would be ensured at the Venkateswara Hospital in Delhi.
The court has suggested the Delhi government to get information from all hospitals and pharmacies on the supply of Remedisvir and other medicines. The court has suggested the appointment of accounting officers to the Delhi government. The court order came after it was told by the Delhi Heart and Lung Institute that they too were facing a lack of oxygen and the nodal officers concerned were helpless.
