Third quarter installment of 12 Delhi government funded colleges released, CM Atishi approves

New Delhi (Hamid Ali) October 13 . Rs 100 crore has been released for 12 colleges under the Delhi government. All these colleges are affiliated to Delhi University. The third quarter installment has been released for these colleges. CM Atishi has approved the release of the third quarter installment of these 12 funded colleges. A budgetary provision of about Rs 400 crore has been made in the financial year 2024-25.

According to the Chief Minister’s Office, the budget for 12 funded colleges of the Delhi government has been increased more than 3 times. The Chief Minister’s Office says that every year the AAP government has increased the budget of these 12 funded colleges to provide the best education to the children in Delhi.

Chief Minister Atishi says that so that teachers are not troubled, they get salary on time, medical-pension benefits, the government is releasing a fund of Rs 100 crore to these 12 colleges of DU. Along with schools, the Delhi government focused on higher education. Opened three new universities, expanded existing universities.

She said that 12 Delhi University colleges fully funded by the Delhi government play an important role in higher education in Delhi. In the year 2014-15, Rs 132 crore was allocated to these colleges, which has increased three times to about Rs 400 crore in this financial year.

According to the Chief Minister, many issues of financial mismanagement have come to the fore in these colleges in the last few years, but the government has decided that the teachers and students of those colleges should not suffer due to the mistakes of the management and administration. Keeping in mind the welfare of teachers, their medical benefits, pension benefits, which were stuck due to financial mismanagement, the Delhi government is releasing a fund of Rs 100 crore in the second quarter for these 12 colleges of Delhi University.

These 12 Delhi University colleges fully funded by the Delhi government include Acharya Narendra Dev College, Aditi Mahavidyalaya, Sister Nivedita College, Bhaskaracharya College, Deendayal Upadhyaya College, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar College, Indira Gandhi Institute of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Keshav Mahavidyalaya, Maharaja Agrasen College, Maharishi Valmiki College, Shaheed Rajguru College and Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies.
