Ayodhya. Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati has strongly reacted to the Tirupati temple laddu controversy. He said that this matter is a matter of investigation and should be investigated immediately. He alleged that this is an old strategy of heretics, in which an attempt is being made to defile Hindus.
He said that what I feel is that since ancient times, such tactics have been used by heretics to first make Hindus eat non-vegetarian food and then say that your purity is over. After this, it is said that now you should join our religion.
Underlining the importance of Tirupati temple prasad, he said that the faith of crores of people is attached to it, the prasad from there goes into the mouths of crores of people every day. I feel that through this effort, a conspiracy is being hatched to weaken their faith.
When asked if he has eaten Tirupati Prasad, he clarified that we eat what our brahmacharis make in the kitchen. We put the Prasad on our forehead, but do not eat it. Because, we do not know who and how made it and what material has been used in it. He said that people bring Tirupati Prasad and give it to us, so we put it on our forehead. We have never eaten it.
Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati, while talking about the punishment for the culprits in this case, said that such criminals should get severe punishment. They should be hanged publicly. Those who play with our purity should get severe punishment. Purity is our identity, what do we have except purity? So, to break that purity, you make such conspiracies. Whoever has done this, should come forward quickly and we would like to give him severe punishment.
Supporting the Wakf Amendment Bill, he said that the bill should be amended and we are telling this to both the government and the Muslim community. Raising the issue of lack of grazing land and cows roaming on the road, he requested the Wakf Board to give its land for cows. Our cow is roaming on the road, when the cow gives milk, it does not see whether we are giving milk to a Hindu or a Muslim. You have a lot of land and our cow is roaming on the road. We will also congratulate you and our cow will also bless you.
