The US has for the first time responded to the violent clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers in the Galvan Valley on Monday night.

Mike Pompeo said, “We express our deepest condolences to the people of India for the deaths caused by the recent conflict with China. We will remember the families of these soldiers, their souls and communities. At a time when Are mourning”.

However, amidst an atmosphere of tension between India and China, the US is also trying to melt the frozen ice in its relations with China.

On Wednesday, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo held a seven-hour meeting with China’s top diplomat Yang Jiechi in Hawaii. The two met at dinner and talked for seven hours.

Observers believe that even if everything is not right, the atmosphere of heavy tension can be lightened and some middle ground can be found.

This meeting between the two countries is also being seen as that the US and China do not want to let the tension escalate.

China has called this meeting constructive.

Yang has told the US not to interfere in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Xinjiang because it is an internal matter.

Pompeo also said that China should show complete transparency in the sharing of information regarding the Covid-19 epidemic
