NEW DELHI: WhatsApp on Thursday launched the much-awaited disassembling messages on its platform for both Android and iOS users, in which all messages will be automatically deleted within seven days. In a one-to-one conversion both will have the facility to turn this feature on or off, while the administrator will command this new feature while talking in a group.
“We aim to keep the conversations on WhatsApp as personal as possible and that is why we are thrilled to introduce this feature,” the company said in a statement.
The Facebook-owned company will start it with a seven-day limit, because “there will be peace in mind that the conversation between them is not permanent and will also be a reason to remember the last interaction.” “
The feature will be launched this month among WhatsApp’s 200 million users globally. It is used by more than 400 million people in India.
Once activated, a message sent to one person or group will disappear automatically after seven days.
