2 hybrid terrorists of Lashkar were caught from Sopore in J&K

Srinagar | Jammu and Kashmir Police and other security forces on Thursday arrested two-hybrid terrorists belonging to the banned terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba from Sopore in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district. A police officer said, “Based on specific inputs about the movement of terrorists, a joint Naka was set up at Gurseer, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Tarju with 52 RR by PC Sopore. During checking, the joint team Two persons coming from Darpora Delina towards Sir were stopped, who saw that the United Naka Party tried to escape, but were caught.”

The two arrested have been identified as Faizan Ahmed Paul, a resident of Pinjura Shopian, and Muzmil Rashid Mir, a resident of Arihal Pulwama.

Arms and ammunition including two pistols, two magazines and five pistols have been recovered from them.

Police said, “Preliminary investigation has revealed that the arrested persons are hybrid terrorists of banned terrorist organization Lashkar (TRF) and we’re constantly on the lookout for opportunities to carry out attacks on civilians including security forces as well outside laborers. ”

Police have registered a case and started an investigation.
