Red Corner Notice issued against Goldie Brar in Musewala murder case

New Delhi | A Red Corner Notice (RCN) has finally been issued against Canadian gangster Satinderjit Singh alias Goldie Brar, wanted in the Sidhu Musewala murder case. On June 2, the Central Bureau of Investigation wrote a request letter to Interpol to issue an RCN against Goldie Brar.

According to the information, Brar had gone to Canada on a student visa and did not return after that.

“He killed his cousin Gurlal Brar and entered the world of crime,” a CBI official said.

Punjab Police had written to CBI for two cases in 2020 and 2021, against which CBI had written to Interpol to issue RCN.

A CBI source said that the request for issuance of RCN was sent on June 2 on a separate case, but not on Sidhu Musewala’s murder case.

The first case was FIR No 409 of 2021, which pertained to the firing on November 22, 2020, near Kataria Petrol Pump in Faridkot. In October 2021, a Punjab court had issued an arrest warrant against Brar. The Punjab Police had filed a charge sheet in this case on November 12, 2021.

“The second case pertains to a case of murder of Gurlal which was registered on February 18, 2021. On September 13, 2021, a Punjab court issued an arrest warrant against Brar in this case. Punjab Police on 22 Chargesheet was filed in the matter. November 2021. Six months after that they sent us a request to write to Interpol for issuance of RCN against Goldie Brar.”

The murder of Punjabi singer Shubhdeep Singh, popularly known as Sidhu Moosewala by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, took place on 29 May 2022. Goldie Brar is the main accused in this case. He is accused of ‘hiring’ gangsters to eliminate Moosewala.
