New Delhi| Former Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) director Ranjit Sinha has died on Friday morning. Sources have given information about this. A CBI source said that Sinha, a 1974 batch IPS officer, breathed his last at his residence around 4 am on Friday.
However, the reason for his death is not yet clear.
Sinha, a 1974 batch IPS officer, was the CBI chief from December 2012 to December 2014.
Sinha has held various senior positions during his lifetime, including the post of Director General of ITBP.
