Srinagar| Two more terrorists were killed in an ongoing encounter between terrorists and security forces in Hanjin Rajpora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday, taking the number of terrorists killed to five. The five terrorists killed include the district commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba and a foreign terrorist.
“The five terrorists killed in the Pulwama encounter are Lashkar-e-Taiba’s district commander Nishaj Lone alias Khatab and a Pakistani terrorist,” the police said.
IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar has termed the operation as a big success.
Earlier, a joint team of police and army cordoned off the area and started a search operation based on specific information about the presence of terrorists, there was an exchange of fire between the terrorists and the security forces.
As the security forces reached the spot where the terrorists were hiding, the firing started.
