Srinagar | A terrorist was killed in the second encounter in two days between terrorists and security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Tuesday. Police gave this information. Police said, “One terrorist was killed. The operation is on.”
Earlier, J&K Police in a tweet quoted the Additional Director General of Police, Kashmir Zone as saying that two local terrorists of the banned terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed are trapped in the ongoing encounter in the Ahwatu area of Kulgam. Both the trapped terrorists are involved in many terror crime cases.
A Pakistani terrorist of the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed was killed in an encounter between terrorists and security forces in the Batpora area of Kulgam on Monday.
Tuesday’s shelling began after a joint team of police and security forces received input about the presence of terrorists in that area. On this, the terrorists hiding there started firing and the security forces retaliated.
There has been a series of encounters between terrorists and security forces across Kashmir in recent days in which many terrorists have been eliminated.
