AAP reiterates demand for early elections in Delhi

New Delhi, October 6. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal demanded that assembly elections be held in Delhi in November this year along with Maharashtra and Jharkhand.

The former Delhi Chief Minister challenged the NDA government at the Centre at a meeting called ‘Janta Ki Adalat’ organised by AAP here on Sunday, saying, “You hold elections, we are ready.” He said that if they do not hold elections in November, it means that the BJP is scared and they have lost the elections. It is worth noting that the term of the Delhi Assembly is ending in February next year.

Arvind Kejriwal said that his wife Sunita Kejriwal is not desperate to become the Chief Minister. She has always worked only for the public. She has never worked for herself or her family.

The AAP leader said that when it comes to giving election tickets in all the parties, they remember their children while giving MLA, MP tickets. He said, “I have never given ticket to any of my relatives till date. I have never given ticket to my son. I have given ticket to your children. I have built schools for your children, I have always taken care of your children.”

He said that when it came to appointing a new Chief Minister, the BJP people made a lot of noise that Kejriwal will appoint his wife as the new Chief Minister. We have “made our worker the Chief Minister of Delhi”.

Kejriwal said that today the people of the country have come to know that double engine government means inflation, unemployment, corruption. He said that he has not committed any theft. That is why he is going among the people with his chest puffed out. He said, “If I am honest, vote for me, otherwise don’t vote for me. I have the courage to say this because I have not committed theft.”
