New Delhi. BJP’s Pravesh Verma is in the electoral fray against former Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party’s National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal from New Delhi Assembly seat. On Saturday, he cornered AAP by making Arvind Kejriwal’s cutout dip in Yamuna river. It was written on the cutout – I have failed, forgive me. In this, Kejriwal is seen holding his ears.
After making Arvind Kejriwal’s cutout dip in Yamuna river, BJP candidate Pravesh Verma while talking to journalists accused AAP of polluting Delhi. He said, “We have seen that in the whole world, wherever there are rivers, people settle there. On the other hand, Yamuna river flows for about 28 kilometers in Delhi, which we can take great advantage of. We can clean the water here and supply it to the entire Delhi NCR. Cleaning the Yamuna river is not rocket science.”
He further said, “Just like PM Modi built the Sabarmati River Front, we can build the Yamuna River Front. 11 years is a very long time. Kejriwal repeatedly said that if I am not able to clean the Yamuna, then do not vote for me. He spent about 8,000 rupees on this, no one knows where that money went. This will be investigated. My appeal to the people of Delhi is that they have got a chance on February 5, they should give BJP a chance once. Our priority is that we will clean the Yamuna river in Delhi.”
The BJP candidate appealed to the people that “Just like Modi’s government has been formed at the center, similarly form the BJP government in Delhi, so that there is no dispute between the center and the state. Kejriwal makes big announcements during elections, but later forgets them. Kejriwal used to say that before 2025 he will take a dip in the Yamuna, if he does not do so, then no one should vote for him. In such a situation, my appeal is that the people of Delhi should not vote for him.”
