New Delhi: New Delhi Municipal Council ( NDMC ) has provided the Twin Litter bins ( blue for dry and green for wet waste) with aim for collection of segregated waste from the source point .
As many as 4000 twin litter bins have been provided in markets area, parks & gardens and others public places at the distance of 50-100 metres for visitors in NDMC area.
To ensure not overflowing of these bins, timely Cleaning is being done regularly by the safai sevaks of NDMC.
Alongwith it, for effective civic waste management, Swachhta team of NDMC is already doing door to door garbage collection of segregated waste from source point into Dry, Wet and Domestic Hazardous waste as well as Covid19 waste from Quarantine Homes in its area.
