New Delhi. The Supreme Court on Tuesday granted bail to AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh in a money laundering case related to the alleged liquor policy scam.
After hearing the case in detail, the top court said: “Sanjay Singh is released on bail.”
The bench said the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has no objection to Singh being released on bail.
However, the bench said that he will be released on terms and conditions to be decided by the trial court. The apex court bench said, “Sanjay Singh can continue political activities.”
Earlier, the top court had issued notice to the ED and directed it to hear the bail plea along with a second plea of Sanjay Singh challenging his arrest and subsequent remand in a money laundering case.
Sanjay Singh was arrested on 4 October 2023 in a money laundering case related to liquor policy.
