After Amul, Mother Dairy hikes milk prices by Rs 2 per liter

New Delhi:| Days after increasing the prices of Amul milk (packed) by Rs 2 per liter, Delhi’s leading milk supplier Mother Dairy has also announced an increase of Rs 2 per liter on Saturday. Consumers have to pay the increased price of Mother Dairy milk from Sunday, while Amul Milk has already implemented its revised prices from July 1.

Sources in Mother Dairy told, “We were forced to hike the prices of its liquid milk by Rs 2 per liter in Delhi-NCR with effect from July 11, 2021.”

For one liter of Mother Dairy milk, Rs 57 will have to be paid from Sunday instead of Rs 55 on Saturday.

Prices have been increased by Rs 2 per liter for all brands of its milk, including bulk vending milk – Rs 44, full cream – Rs 57 per liter, toned milk – Rs 47 per liter, double toned milk – Rs 41. Huh. Per liter, Cow milk – Rs 49 per liter, Super tea-milk – Rs 26 per liter, Standardized milk – Rs 51 per liter.

Mother Dairy had last increased the prices of its products (milk) in December 2019.

A senior employee of Mother Dairy, which handles the packaging of milk products, said, “There was a lot of discussion about the hike in milk prices, but the decision was put on hold. When Amul had already gone up, it took over Mother Dairy. The prices have been increased to recover the financial loss during the COVID-19 pandemic.”

He said the company is facing inflationary pressures on the overall input cost which has increased manifold in the last year.

Mother Dairy said “It is pertinent to note that in the last three-four weeks alone the agricultural prices of milk have increased by about 4 percent. was retained. After this revision, the milk prices are being revised by 4 percent.”

Mother Dairy sells more than 30 lakh liters of milk daily in Delhi-NCR.
