New Delhi, May 11, 2024. New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) celebrated grand Golden Jubilee events of its Navyug Schools in a vibrant show at Navyug School, Sarojini Nagar, New Delhi. Navyug School Alumni and Director of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) – Shri Praveen Sood was the Chief Guest in the august presence of Chairman – NDMC, Shri Amit Yadav on the occasion.
While Navyug School alumni and CBI – Director Shri Parveen Sood , IPS congratulating the old and existing students, teachers, parents for Golden Jubilee of Navyug School said that not only education of Navyug School but its values, nurture system, ethics made us as human being and today we all are proud on our school days.The Golden Jubilee year is a milestone for our reaffirmation towards commitment of steps to provide qualitative education under the government schooling system.
He recalled the contribution of Smt. Bidya Ben Shah, Shri Baleshwar Parsad and Dr JN Dhar in establishing the Navyug School in 1973 in the government education system in parallel of public schools for better education of students who come from weaker section of society. He informed that five basic elements were behind the establishment of this school like no corporal punishment, education beyond classroom, dramatics, outdoor activities and gender equality.
After giving away the prizes as ‘Navyug Ratana’ to alumni stars, he said that all students of navyug school are Ratana of our society and nation because school prepare a student not only for college, university, company, government but make a good citizen also for our society and nation, so we should be a good human being every where for everyone.
Shri Amit Yadav, Chairman – NDMC expressed his blessings on the occasion of Golden Jubilee Celebration event of Navyug Schools and thanks all alumni togather with the efforts of Ex- Navyugian Association and Navyug School Education Society. Golden Jubilee Year of Navyug School is a significant milestone in the history of eduction system, he added.
While encouraging the students and faculty of Navyug Schools, Shri Yadav said that these schools was setup by NDMC with the aim to provide good quality modern education including a strong component of inclusion and physical education to the talented children predominantly from the lower middle income group. Navyug Schools has been carrying out pioneer role in building quality education and all round development of students for past more than fifty years. Hence, we are celebrating the golden jubilee event today.
This grand celebration brought together the alumni of Navyug School, SMC members and the executive members of Ex-Navyugian Association (ENA). On the occasion, “Navdeep” – The School Magazine and “Navdeep” – a Coffee Table Book and the ENA directory were also launched.
Chairman, NDMC presented the special awards to meritorious students of Navyug School. Artistic Ambassador Awards were present to artists who contributed to the Art Gallery. Navayug Pedagogue Awards were presented to teachers who retired from Navyug School Sarojini Nagar and Navyug Ratna Awards were also presented to outstanding alumni.
Mr. Praveen Sood, IPS, Director of CBI, Shri Rajesh Bhushan, Ex Secretary Health, Govt. of India, Shri Madan Gopal, Consulate General (Iraq), Shri Sanjay Sachdeva, Rear Admiral, Smt. Janki Pant, Major General (Rtd.), Shri Amit Sharma, Judge Civil Court, Shri Yogesh Baweja, DG Min. of Railways, Shri Naveen Tuli, Deputy Health Officer, MCD, Dr. Jyoti Wadhwa, Dr. Praveen Vashistha, AIIMS, Shri Sunil Bhalla, LAVA Founder, Shri Ajay Gupta, Ex-Director – Govt. of India and Shri Naresh Sharman, C.A General Secretary were one of the stars of Navyug Schools whose august presence added the feathers in this celebration.
