New Delhi, September 27 . Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has written a letter to CM Atishi. In this letter, Arvind Kejriwal has told about the condition of Delhi’s roads and has also talked about repairing it as soon as possible. Arvind Kejriwal also went with CM Atishi to inspect the roads in different areas of Delhi on Friday.
Arvind Kejriwal wrote in the letter, “For the last two days, I (Atishi) went with you to inspect different roads of Delhi. The condition of these roads is very bad. When I was arrested in the month of March, the roads of Delhi were fine. Just a few days ago I met one of their big leaders. I asked him what did they get by arresting me, he smiled and said, we derailed the Delhi government, brought Delhi to a standstill. I was surprised to hear his answer. So, was their motive behind arresting me to bring Delhi to a standstill, was their motive to trouble the people of Delhi?”
He wrote, “How can any person or any party be happy with the public’s troubles? It is clear that their aim was to stop the work in Delhi and defame the Aam Aadmi Party government so that they win the Delhi elections. How can a party stoop so low to get votes and win elections that it makes the lives of two crore people miserable?”
Kejriwal wrote, “We are not like that. We have come into politics to serve the public. Now we have to work on a war footing. All the stalled work in Delhi has to be started. This time it has rained a lot. Due to this, many roads in Delhi have been damaged. Please get down on the road with all the ministers and MLAs and get an assessment done as to which roads are damaged and start their repair immediately.”
Looking at the upcoming elections, he wrote, “We will have to work hard day and night. All the stalled work in Delhi has to be started. Together with the people of Delhi, all their problems have to be resolved.”
It is worth noting that on Friday, for the second day, Arvind Kejriwal inspected another road of Delhi on Roshanara Road along with CM Atishi. This road was also in bad condition.
Arvind Kejriwal posted on social media and wrote, “We will get this road repaired soon. I have spoken to CM Atishi, get a report prepared of all the roads under PWD and soon we are sending all our MLAs and ministers to the roads, work will be done on war footing to repair the roads. Now that I have come, I will not let the public face trouble.”
