Bag of visually challenged person containing valuable documents recovered from auto driver and restored to its owner

New Delhi:Police Station Mandir Marg received a call regarding loss of bag of a visually challenged person in an auto-rickshaw. The police took the matter seriously and acted with swift precision and recovered the bag containing valuable documents and other belongings from the auto-rickshaw.

In another operation Police Station Mandir Marg, New Delhi District has arrested two Proclaimed Offenders (PO) namely

1)   Jamshed s/o Hanif r/o Village: Jaitaka, Police Station: Nagina, District: Nuh, Haryana, Age-44 years. He was declared PO in case FIR No. 359/2007, u/s 279 IPC, PS Tilak Marg, New Delhi.

2)   Bijendra Singh s/o Ratan Singh r/o Village: Tibabasai, Police Station: Khetri, District: Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, Age-47 years. He was declared PO in FIR No. 291/2000, u/s 279/427 IPC, PS New Friends Colony, Delhi.

On 26.03.2022, one Sh. Suraj Nishad s/o Dhodhra r/o Village: Nasirpur, Tehsil & District: Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh made a PCR call and informed that he along with his three friends boarded an auto-rickshaw from New Delhi Railway Station and deboarded the same at RK Ashram Metro Station. However, while deboarding, he forgot his bag containing documents and belongings in the auto-rickshaw. The complainant as well as his friends were visually challenged.

Keeping in view overall circumstances, a team consisting of ASI Shyam Sunder, HC Jitesh and Ct. Makkhan was constituted under close supervision of Sh. Satvinder Singh,  SHO/Mandir Marg, New Delhi. The team obtained CCTV footage of several cameras and analyzed it and ultimately succeeded in tracing the auto-rickshaw. The bag was found on the back seat of the auto-rickshaw. The bag containing valuable documents and other belongings was subsequently handed over to the complainant.

A team comprising of SI Jai Singh, ASI Inder Singh, HC Sarwandeep & HC Ravinder Kumar was constituted under close supervision of Inspr. Satvinder Singh, SHO/PS Mandir Marg and overall supervision of Sh. Vinay Mathur, ACP/Connaught Place to nab proclaimed offenders. The team made strenuous efforts and collected information and collated it. On 26.03.2022, based on secret information and its collation, the team laid a trap and arrested Jamshed s/o Hanif, from Dhaula Kuan Bus Stand, Delhi. On the same day, the team laid another trap and arrested another PO namely Bijendra Singh, s/o Ratan Singh, from in-front of BPCL petrol pump, Pusa Road, Delhi.

Profile of Accused:   Jamshed s/o Hanif- A case of accident was registered at PS Tilak Marg vide FIR No. 359/2007 on the complaint of Sh. Randhir. During trial of the case, accused Jamshed didn’t attend the court and intentionally avoided judicial proceedings. Subsequently, he was declared proclaimed offender on 08.01.2010 by the Court of Sh. Jitender Mishra, Ld. MM, Patiala House Court, New Delhi.

Bijendra Singh s/o Ratan Singh –A case of accident was registered at PS New Friends Colony vide FIR No. 291/2000 on the complaint of Sh. Sanjeev Kumar. After completion of the investigation, Charge Sheet of the case was filed. During trial of the case, accused Jamshed didn’t attend the court and intentionally avoided judicial proceedings. Subsequently, he was declared proclaimed offender on 10.06.2009 by the Court of Sh. Naveen Arora, Ld. ACMM, Saket Court, Delhi.
