Delhi: Student’s knife-point robbery case solved, four minors arrested

New Delhi, Dec 22  Police have solved the case of a student returning from tuition in the Welcome police station area of ​​the national capital. Taking action in the case, police have detained four minors and recovered the knife used in the crime from their possession.

According to a press note issued by Delhi Police on Monday, on the night of December 15-16, Welcome police received information from GTB Hospital that a 17-year-old youth from the Kabir Nagar area had been admitted with a knife injury. A police team arrived at the hospital immediately after the incident. The injured student told police that he was returning home from tuition at around 10 pm when five men attacked him, stabbed him, and robbed him of Rs 350.

Based on the victim’s statement, FIR No. 652/2025 was registered at the Welcome police station. Initially, the case was registered under Section 109(1) of the Indian Penal Code (BNS), and an investigation was initiated under the leadership of Welcome Police Station SHO Rupesh Khatri.

During the investigation, the police team gathered clues using technical and human resources and, based on suspicion, detained four minors (aged 14 to 16). During interrogation, all four confessed to the crime. Based on their information, the police also recovered the knife used in the crime.

According to the police, sections 309(6), 311, and 3(5) of the Indian Penal Code have also been added to the FIR. Further investigation is underway. Police are trying to determine the fifth accused involved in the crime and what his role was.
