Delhi Police head constable shot in Haryana, two arrested

New Delhi, November 17. A head constable of Delhi Police was shot dead by three people due to personal enmity in Sonipat, Haryana. Police said on Friday that the crime branch has arrested two people in connection with the incident.

The accused arrested from Panipat have been identified as 39-year-old Sushil and 50-year-old Sheelak Ram alias Shila Pehalwan, residents of Sonipat.

Crime branch special police commissioner Ravindra Singh Yadav said a PCR call was received at Sonipat City police station regarding the shooting of Delhi Police head constable Parveen in Ashok Nagar area on Wednesday.

The injured was taken to the hospital and a case was registered on the statement of his wife. A QST was issued by Haryana Police in respect of the vehicle involved in the crime and the persons allegedly accused in the crime.

Special CP said, “Realizing the seriousness of the case, the crime branch team was assigned the responsibility of working on the case. Manual and technical surveillance was kept on the suspects.

During investigation, based on technical surveillance, a trap was laid near Samalkha in Panipat, Haryana and two suspects were apprehended. Upon questioning, the duo revealed that one of their close associates, named Rajesh Nain alias Raju, had personal enmity with the victim.

The Special CP further said, “On Wednesday, they along with Nain and others named Bijendra and Babla, reached the house of the victim to kill him. When the victim opened the gate of his house, Nain shot at him and they fled from the spot. He was hiding in Samalkha area to avoid his arrest.
