New Delhi, February 4. Many leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party, including Jagdambika Pal, chairman of the JPC formed on the Waqf Bill, retaliated on the statement of AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on the Waqf Amendment Bill. He called the Waqf Bill beneficial for the Muslim society.
JPC Chairman Jagdambika Pal said, “When the government makes a law, it is made under some article and constitution. Some people are spreading confusion in the country. Owaisi has given a statement that we will not give a single mosque in the country, then who is going to take the mosque? A law is being brought to ensure that the mosque is properly maintained and the poor women, Pasmanda and children get the benefit of Waqf property. But those people are trying to create confusion in the country, they definitely have some agenda.
BJP Rajya Sabha MP Dinesh Sharma said, Owaisi is not a well-wisher of Muslims. If he were a well-wisher, he would have talked about providing education, employment to Muslims and eliminating hunger. But all these things are being said by PM Modi. He is giving scholarship, employment, education, ration, Ayushman card and gas connection to Muslims. But Owaisi is just giving statements. According to me, everyone has come to know who the real leader is.
Union Minister of State BL Verma said that Whatever Owaisi may say, but the work that should be done in the interest of the country under Prime Minister Modi is being done. The Waqf Amendment Bill is not going to harm anyone, but is for the benefit of the country.
Union Minister of State SP Singh Baghel said, all things are recorded in Khasra-Khatauni. In such a situation, the Waqf Amendment Bill is not to scare anyone, but for the betterment of the Muslim society. Misuse of land by some people will be stopped and now the land will be used properly. It will be used for their welfare.
