Presenting the budget, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that to empower our youth and help realize the dreams of the ‘Amrit Generation’, we have adopted economic policies that are conducive to large-scale employment generation. also supported business opportunities.
According to the Finance Minister, seven priorities have been adopted in the Union Budget 2023-24. They complement each other and guide us in the nectar of immortality in the form of Saptarishi. Youth power is one of our priority areas.
The Finance Minister announced that Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 4.0 will be launched to skill lakhs of youth over the next three years. Emphasis will be on on-the-job training, industry partnership and alignment of courses with industry needs. He underlined that the scheme would cover new age courses in Industry 4.0 such as coding, AI (Artificial Intelligence), robotics, mechatronics, IoT, 3D printing, drones and soft skills.
The Finance Minister also proposed to set up 30 Skill India International Center in different states to skill the youth for international opportunities. The Finance Minister announced that Direct Benefit Transfer will be launched to provide stipend support to 47 lakh youth over three years under the All India National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme.
The Finance Minister informed that the digital ecosystem for skill enhancement will be further expanded by launching the following integrated Skill India Digital Platform. Elaborating on this, he said that it will enable demand-based formal skilling.
Connect with employers, including MSMEs, and facilitate access to entrepreneurship schemes.
