New Delhi, February 20 . Along with Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, 6 MLAs also took oath as ministers in Delhi. These ministers include Pravesh Verma, Ashish Sood, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Ravinder Inderaj Singh, Kapil Mishra and Pankaj Kumar Singh.
Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena first administered the oath to Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, after which Pravesh Verma, Ashish Sood, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Kapil Mishra, Pankaj Kumar Singh and finally Ravinder Inderaj Singh took oath.
The Ramlila Maidan was packed to the brim during the swearing-in ceremony. Three separate stages were prepared for the swearing-in ceremony. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, nominated Chief Minister and associate members of the Council of Ministers, and Chief Ministers and Deputy CMs of NDA-ruled states were also present on the main stage. Rekha Gupta defeated Aam Aadmi Party candidate Bandana Kumari from Shalimar Bagh assembly seat. She won this seat with a huge margin of more than 29,000 votes.

Rekha Gupta has been elected MLA for the first time from Shalimar Bagh seat of Delhi. He defeated AAP’s Bandana Kumari by a margin of 29,595 votes.
The results of the Delhi Assembly elections were declared on February 8. The BJP got a historic victory after 26 years. It won 48 out of 70 seats, while the Aam Aadmi Party was reduced to 22.
