‘Delhi is a huge challenge, will work with PM Modi’s vision’, ministers promise after oath

New Delhi, February 20. Delhi got a new Chief Minister on Thursday. In the swearing-in ceremony held at Ramlila Maidan, Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena administered the oath of office to Rekha Gupta as Chief Minister and other six newly elected BJP MLAs as ministers. Pravesh Verma and Kapil Mishra, who became ministers in the Delhi government, said that they have many challenges in front of them. But, they will fulfill all the promises made to the public with PM Modi’s vision.

Minister Pravesh Verma told news agency IANS, “We have many challenges in front of us. We have seen in the last few years that the work that should have been done in Delhi was not done. We are happy that we will get the support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. We will fulfill all the promises we have made in Delhi.”

After taking oath as minister, Manjinder Singh Sirsa said, “We have got a huge responsibility. We will fulfill all our responsibilities. We have got the opportunity to work in Delhi under the leadership of PM Modi. We will move forward with his vision.”

On the other hand, Kapil Mishra said, “We will work keeping in mind the vision of PM Modi.”

On the other hand, Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal said, “I want to congratulate Rekha Gupta for becoming the woman Chief Minister of Delhi. The whole of Delhi has elected her with a lot of expectations. I would like her to live up to all the expectations, Delhi should develop well and the situation of Delhi which has become a garbage dump in the last 10 years should also improve.”

Regarding corruption, she said that all the CAG reports have not yet been presented in the assembly. In such a situation, I would like the CAG report to be presented in the assembly as soon as possible. Action should be taken against whoever is guilty.

Meanwhile, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said, “Many congratulations to PM Modi and Rekha Gupta ji.”

BJP leader and former Delhi Municipal Corporation Mayor Aarti Mehra said, “Today, our sister has become the Chief Minister of Delhi. She made a very good name for herself by starting her political career from the student union, working in the Yuva Morcha and the corporation. I have worked with her. She is a very hardworking leader. All the promises made to the people of Delhi will be fulfilled under the leadership of PM Modi, the work for which has already begun. We are committed to ensuring that all the houses in Delhi have tap water and the safety of women. Within three years, we will make the Yamuna suitable for taking a dip.”

Bihar government minister Santosh Kumar Suman said, “BJP’s victory in Delhi has been historic. The public was fed up with Arvind Kejriwal’s lies. He only made false promises to the public. I congratulate Rekha ji for becoming the new Chief Minister of Delhi. Her experience in politics will be useful in the development of Delhi. She comes from the middle class and is a struggling woman. BJP takes care of its workers. For all the women who do politics, this is an example that a woman can also become a Chief Minister.”

BJP MLA and spokesperson Atul Bhatkhalkar congratulated Rekha Gupta on becoming the Chief Minister and said, “BJP has nominated a hardworking worker as the Chief Minister of Delhi. I am confident that under the leadership of PM Modi, Delhi will develop in the coming days and the water of Yamuna river will be clean.”

BJP MP from Gorakhpur Ravi Kishan said, “There is no difference between PM Modi’s words and actions. Today is a festival like Diwali among the women of the country.”
