Delhi Liquor Scam- BJP protested by burning effigies of Kejriwal and Sisodia.

New Delhi | The BJP on Friday protested outside the Delhi Assembly over the liquor scam by burning effigies of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia. BJP MPs Ramesh Bidhuri and Pravesh Verma, former Union ministers Vijay Goel and MLA Vijender Gupta along with many party leaders and workers participated in this protest led by BJP’s Delhi State President Adesh Gupta. Demanding the resignation of Manish Sisodia outside the Delhi Legislative Assembly, BJP leaders created a ruckus and burnt effigies of Kejriwal and Sisodia. To stop them, the police had to use water cannons on BJP leaders and workers.

Addressing the protest, Delhi BJP state president Adesh Gupta said that another name for corruption is Arvind Kejriwal. Kejriwal is the most corrupt Chief Minister of the country, who has done only corruption in his tenure of 8 years. Gupta further said that this is the same Kejriwal who keeps his views on issues not only in Delhi but across the country, but today when allegations are leveled against him, why has he kept silent?

Lok Sabha MP from Delhi Ramesh Bidhuri said that on one hand Kejriwal and Sisodia play the drums of providing world-class education in Delhi and on the other hand, by opening contracts at different places in Delhi, people are served ‘by one get one free liquor to the families of the families. Destroying the policy is very good. Bidhuri further said that when corruption worth crores of rupees is exposed, he is trying to divert the attention of the people from the issue of liquor scam by talking here and there, accusing the BJP of making offers to their MLAs.

Lok Sabha MP Pravesh Verma said that the place of those who loot Delhi’s treasury in association with the liquor mafia is not the cabinet but the jail. He said that before implementing the excise policy, he himself prepared a plan by meeting so that maximum money could be collected.
