DSA Premier League now from 26 September

New Delhi: The third DSA Premier League to be played from September 15 at Ambedkar Stadium will now be played from September 26 and the last date of CMS has been extended to September 20. Most of the 12 top clubs of the capital participating in the league had requested to postpone the organization of matches for preparations, which has been accepted.

According to the league organizing committee, defending champions Garhwal Heroes FC, Royal Rangers, first league winner Vatika FC, CISF Protectors, Sudeva Delhi FC, Friends United, Indian Air Force New Delhi, Delhi FC, Tarun Sangha and Hindustan FC, National United FC and United Bharat FC promoted from the senior division are the famous teams participating.

The matches will be played on double leg basis and the total number of matches will be 132. The organizing committee includes chairman Vikram Jeet Singh, convener Har Gopal and members Hafiz Shahid, Bhola Nath Karmakar and Rajesh Jajharia.

According to the organizers, this time the league matches will be played under tight security and there will be adequate arrangements to deal with any kind of irregularity and disorder. In the last edition, some teams were accused of violating the rules and collusion.

It is worth mentioning that the annual league matches of other states have started long ago but due to infighting, the DSA has not been able to organize the Premier League on time. The B, C and Institutional Leagues of the year 2023-24 are also hanging in the balance.
