Mumbai | Veteran Bollywood actor-writer-director Satish Kaushik passed away late on Wednesday at the age of 67. He is best remembered as ‘Calendar’ in the film ‘Mr India’. His friend and another veteran actor Anupam Kher shared the news in a tweet in the early hours of Thursday.
Born in Haryana, Kaushik is an alumnus of NSD and FTII and started his film career in the early 1980s.
He wrote the dialogues for the 1983 classic ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron’.
He is known for his comic roles as ‘Calendar’ in ‘Mr India’, ‘Pappu Pager’ in ‘Deewana Mastana’ and many more.
Kaushik also performed brilliantly in other films like ‘Ram Lakhan’ and ‘Saajan Chale Sasural’.
He directed Sridevi’s film ‘Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja’ and later ‘Prem’, both, but he achieved big hits with several other films including ‘Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hai’ and ‘Tere Sang’. Did.
