Google will invest 75 thousand crores to promote digitization in India

NEW DELHI : Google CEO Sundar Pichai on Monday made an important announcement for India’s digitization fund. The company will invest 75 thousand crore rupees in the next five to seven years to promote digitization in India. Pichai said during the Google for India Virtual Conference, “We will make these investments in India through equity investment, partnership and an operational infrastructure ecosystem. This is a reflection of our confidence in India’s future and its digital economy.”

This investment will focus on four areas critical to India’s digitization.

The CEO of Google stated, “The first is to provide information to every Indian at a low price in their language. Second, to create new products and services that suit India’s needs. Third, businesses need to continue on digital transformation and Empower more. Fourth, to leverage technology and artificial intelligence in areas such as health and agriculture and education. “

Union IT Minister of India Ravi Shankar Prasad was also present during the conference.
