New Delhi :Hindu College, University of Delhi, one of the premier institutions of higher learning in the country, organised an inspiring and vibrant Orientation Programme to welcome the new batch of undergraduate students and their parents to campus.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Prof. Anju Srivastava extended a warm welcome to all newcomers and emphasized the significance of this new beginning. “As you step into the corridors of Hindu College, you become part of a rich legacy,” she said. “This is not just a place of learning—it is where dreams are nurtured, minds are shaped, and futures are built.”

Highlighting the college’s commitment to holistic development, Prof. Srivastava said, “We celebrate diversity of thought and culture. Our aim is to awaken in you the desire to think beyond the traditional path and engage with education that is dynamic, inclusive, and transformative.”

This year is particularly special, as Hindu College embraces the first cohort of four-year undergraduate programmes under the National Education Policy (NEP). Prof. Srivastava emphasized that the NEP is a value-based initiative designed to empower students with flexibility, creativity, and interdisciplinary exposure.
“Education is not only a personal pursuit but a national responsibility,” she remarked. “Our faculty is here to support you at every step—for academic excellence, personal growth, and career counselling.”

The Orientation Programme also highlighted the vibrant student life on campus, with over 60 active societies promoting art, innovation, culture, community service, and research. “Learning at Hindu College extends far beyond the classroom,” Prof. Srivastava added. “Experiential and hands-on activities are integral to our ethos, allowing students to find a healthy balance between academics and co-curricular engagement.”

The programme concluded with a message of encouragement and belonging: “You are not alone in this journey—we walk with you.”
