IPL table: Chennai topped, Punjab reached number five

Ahmedabad| Punjab Kings on Friday defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 34 runs in the 26th match of the 14th season of the IPL, played at the Narendra Modi Stadium, to take fifth place in the table. This is Punjab’s third win in seven matches and the team has now reached number five in the table with six points. Bangalore has suffered their second defeat in seven matches and the team remains at number three with 10 points.

Punjab and Mumbai have six points each, but Mumbai is one place ahead of Punjab due to a better run rate. Chennai topped the table with 10 points. The team has won five out of six matches.

Royal Challengers Bangalore has 10 points each from Delhi Capitals. But Delhi is at number two and Bangalore at number three due to better run rate. Mumbai is at number four and Kolkata Knight Riders sixth, Rajasthan Royals seventh and Sunrisers Hyderabad at number eight.
